Lean Six Sigma Training
Lean Six Sigma is a powerful integration of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. The incredible results achieved through the combining of these tried and tested techniques is amazing. At one end of the spectrum Lean creates the discipline to organize. In the middle Lean and Six Sigma overlap because they use the same basic Problem Solving Tools i.e. 5 Why's, Cause and Effect Diagram, Process Mapping, etc. At the other end of the spectrum Six Sigma comes into its own with advanced statistical methodologies to define and develop effective product design.  I have developed an 80/20 view of the business world and I know from my own experience that everyone who has gone through Six Sigma Black Belt Training will only use 20% of their knowledge on over 80% of their project work.

Lean Manufacturing

  • Lean eliminates process waste and increases Process Velocity to reduce the overall lead time for manufacturing a product.
  • Lean develops a more stable process to create consistency and repeatability.
  • Lean uses the 7 Quality Tools to improve product quality.
  • Lean develops a standard for each process by defining the best practice.

Six Sigma

  • Six Sigma reduces Process Variation to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Six Sigma uses problem solving tools to identify and eliminate root cause.
  • Six Sigma can be used to improve product design.
