Lean Manufacturing Simulation Kits

Level 2 - Implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles:

We developed our second kit to demonstrate how to implement Lean Manufacturing Principles into an organization that has some knowledge of the Toyota Production System (TPS).

This kit demonstrates a mixed model production line simulation using Lego™ blocks to manufacture four types of finished products. The purpose of this mixed model process is to demonstrate more realistically a typical manufacturing environment. Most companies don't produce a single product type, they have multiple products. Usually, because of resource constraints, they are forced to put several different products through the same line or cell. This is one of the main causes of bottlenecks and delays throughout the production process.

The Level 2 kit introduces the team to the process of how to deal with standard and/or custom orders being produced in the same line or cell. Your team is taken through 4 stages of process improvement. They quickly learn how working together as a team is important when identifying and implementing process improvements, and they experience this in real-time. They see how their decisions directly impact the entire manufacturing process from the procurement of raw materials to shipping the finished products to the customer.

Total time required to complete this simulation is approximately 2 hours and a minimum of 12 people in attendance to successfully run the Level 2 simulation.

The Level 2 kit consists of:

  1. A Level 2 training CD which includes: training manual, process paperwork and assembly drawings, simulation documents, customer order and receiving forms, order entry forms and a profit and loss spreadsheet. Also included with this package is the Level 1 training CD - "Introduction to Lean."

  2. A multi color Lego™ kit.

  3. Tool box which includes; stop watches, measuring equipment, clip board, pens and note pad.

  4. Rolling tote bag with pull handle to hold all items for easy storage and transportation.

We can facilitate a  "Train the Trainer" session. This is a one day event to give instruction and demonstrate how to use the Level 2 kit. Contact us to discuss your organizational requirements and pricing.

You can now purchase our Level 2 - Implementing Lean Manufacturing Simulation Kit at a price of $1,800 (plus shipping & handling).

Lean Implementation
Did you know that most companies will abandon their Lean Manufacturing program after 2 or 3 years.

Why is this?

Reason #1: They failed to align their Lean process with their business goals and objectives.
